In time the big oil companies will regret pretending to believe in CAGW. They feed the crocodile, hoping it will eat them last. Appeasement never works.

    • Snowleopard says:

The big oil companies are just obeying their owners. If you go back through the funding for the Big Green over the years you will find a large proportion of it comes from the Rockefeller (Standard, Exxon, Mobil etc) and Rothschild (Shell, BP etc) controlled foundations.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

In time the big oil companies will regret …

I wish you were right but actually they won’t. They don’t have consciousness like we do. ? The executives who approved these statements will have retired and their successors will deal with the problems of the day. Hopefully, this will be one of them but I would not bet my money on it.

    Perfect corrections! My sentiments exactly!

  3. CheshireRed says:

I wonder if these judges are citing climate change as ‘complex’ and ‘real’ to avoid any possibility of appeal if they had actually questioned the orthodoxy? By asserting their belief in climate change but finding against the plaintiffs they’re basically saying it’s a policy-based trade-off between risk and reward and therefore not a legal matter as to banning FF’s. (We don’t close down aviation because a handful of planes crash each year)
That allows their judgements to stand and the FF powered heating and lighting to stay on. Smart thinking.

    • Gator says:

Airplanes, cars, trains and boats are all far more dangerous than climate change. Odd we don’t see more marches and demonstrations for the banning of modern travel.

    • Johansen says:

Red, that might be true, but what they are *ruling* is that you cannot sue the oil companies under PUBLIC NUISANCE (a common law doctrine). You have to sue under the CLEAN AIR ACT (statutory law). And as of right now, the CAA doesn’t regulate CO2 as a pollutant.

      • Johansen says:

slight correction: the Clean Air Act provides for GHG permitting and such, but doesn’t require you to measure/monitor/control CO2 like you would, say, particulate matter or heavy metals. This is what the Obama Administration was trying to accomplish through a couple Supreme Court decisions.

      • Johansen says:

if anybody wants to tweak that, please feel free

Wealth creates envy and envy is used to justify any sin .Is this a reason to blackmail the distributors of wealth ,the oil-companies ?

  5. Penelope says:

Unfortunately those who are funding the scamsters are not reachable by thee & me.

and the purpose of the mre general “Sustainability” hoax is the furtherance of the UN’s Agenda 21: The UN’s Agenda 21, signed by Bush in 1992, is the action plan for creating the global dictatorship. The means is through land use restrictions. People are being shunted off their lands thru antiquities takeovers like this, through the tearing up of the roads that lead to their rural properties, through expanded zoning regulations about how they can use their land, through ridiculous special high utility rates for rural areas, through closures of post offices, schools & hospitals.
To understand the big picture behind the above article I think you need to understand Agenda 21.

We can do all of the sustainable BS in the world and there is absolutely no evidence that it will improve our weather one iota.
