Twenty years ago Bill Clinton made a terrible deal with North Korea to “halt their nuclear weapons program.” Republicans were unhappy, but failed to do anything about it – and North Korea got nuclear weapons.
Fast forward twenty years. Obama is making a terrible deal with Iran which will lead to them having nuclear weapons. Republicans are unhappy about it, but will do nothing and Iran will end up with nuclear weapons.
Democrat traitors and eunuch Republicans. Nothing ever changes.
Progressives want to diminish the standing and security of America, because they actually believe the world would be a better place with a weak America.
It is after all a mental disorder.
Kick that can down the road and let others suffer the consequences.
I guess this time they forgot about the children.
20 years ago we were being fear mongered that Iran was 5 years away from a nuke.
http://www.nytimes.com/1995/01/05/world/iran-may-be-able-build-atomic-bomb-5-years-us-israeli-officials-fear.html
And a lot of things happened, some that we know of and lots that we don’t that delayed that from coming to pass. Unlike AGW, the threat of a nuclear Iran is very real.
The boogie men are every bit as a creation and manipulation as the AGW data and models. We are supposed to be endlessly afraid so we’ll go along with what they want to do. Different fears work on different people and as americans one of our few remaining rights is to pick our fears, so long as we pick something that leads to bigger government.
Spot on!
CAGW is a failed hypothesis, at best.
Nuclear Bombs work, (really, they do) and Governments use them. M.A.D., is just that, but with the sane it works. I am not certain Iran is sane.
And Israel and the US have done multiple things to slow them down. Even introducing a virus in the computers. http://www.jpost.com/Iranian-Threat/News/Stuxnet-virus-set-back-Irans-nuclear-program-by-2-years
But those were just delaying tactics. This administration has failed miserably at taking on the problem head on and in fact has alienated Israel, our only real ally in the region, and the country that has the most to fear from Iranian nucs.
Spoken like a dhimmi-crat…but don’t worry-Obama has a stragedy.
…this was meant to be a reply to “B”
I detest fearmongering by the political class. But I detest more that people fall for it.
For thousands of years the few use fear to rule over the many. To create this fear the ruling class creates a false reality where they protect us from what we are told to be afraid of. What we are told to be afraid of is usually a fabrication, manipulation, exaggeration, etc.
For thousands of years there have been three basic fears that the ruling class exploits.
1) Climate. 2) The other. 3) Economic instability.
The oldest scam best I can tell is climate, where the rulers will bring us good weather, good crops, etc if we submit, obey, and sacrifice. The second oldest scam is the other. The rulers will organize protection for us from those evil people over there if we submit, obey, and sacrifice. The newest is economic stability, where the ruling class will prevent economic collapse (from their own interferences) if we submit, obey, and sacrifice.
All these scams can be broken by using the same mechanisms. Any at least half-assed study of Iran will show that it’s a manufactured threat to the US of A. Their goal is not to screwed with. To be left alone. That’s it. Of course their rulers use the same techniques domestically and the US federal government has made itself the foil for that.
If you’re afraid of Iran, here’s the solution: Demand politicians stay out of their business and allow fair trade with them. Sell them cars, blue jeans, whatever personal goods they are willing to buy. That’s all that people everywhere want. For others to stay out of their business and trade fairly.
B thinks that Iran just wants to be left alone. I daresay that ‘B’ does not know enough about Muslims and Islam.
B needs to listen to what the Iranian leadership tells its own people, and not what the local lefty rags say.
The ruling class of Iran rules through fear domestically like most. They create boogie men.
Persians haven’t started a war in much longer than the USA has existed.
You may choose to fall for team R fears but that doesn’t make them valid. The US federal government has been intruding, interfering with Iran since 1950s. But of course that’s something an american isn’t even supposed to know let alone mention. Don’t confuse the simple minded with complex histories.
The reality is that Iran is probably one of the most american like places in the region. Did you know they’ve kept their american V8 car culture alive there? I know, don’t bother with complexity. The same corporate media that tells you climate change is real told you Iran is a real threat.
In 1994 both houses of congress were controlled by the Democrats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/103rd_United_States_Congress And by a fairly significant amount.
The Koreans have a nuclear bomb because the Democrats gave it to them.
Exactly.
Evil party and Stupid party.

Don’t let their take on it only being 18%
From Gallup-
Americans continue to name the government (18%) as the most important U.S. problem, a distinction it has had for the past four months.
Americans’ mentions of the economy as the top problem (11%) dropped this month, leaving it tied with jobs (10%) for second place. Though issues such as terrorism, healthcare, race relations and immigration have emerged among the top problems in recent polls, government, the economy and unemployment have been the dominant problems listed by Americans for more than a year.
http://www.gallup.com/file/poll/181964/MIP_Satisfaction_150311%20%20.pdf
Look at the numbers –
ECONOMIC PROBLEMS (NET) % 33
Economy in general * 11
Unemployment/Jobs * 10
Federal budget deficit/Federal debt * 5
NON-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS (NET) % 75
Dissatisfaction with government/Congress/politicians
Poor leadership/Corruption/Abuse of power * 18
Immigration/Illegal aliens * 7
Poor healthcare/hospitals; High cost of healthcare * 7
Terrorism * 6
Education/Poor education/Access to education * 6
Ethics/moral/religious/family decline; Dishonesty * 5
National security * 4
Poverty/ Hunger/Homelessness * 4
Situation in Iraq/ISIS * 4
Foreign policy/Foreign aid/Focus overseas * 4
Race relations/Racism * 4
Here is Gallup’s list of problems. How many of the above do you consider to be the top problem and how many do you consider it is the governments handling that is the real problem. By my count Government or their handling or their meddling hits closer to 96% not 18%
3. In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?
Date———– Sati— Dis-sat — Unsure
2009 May 7-9 –35% — 62% —– 3%
And this is the record lowest O-bama has been able to achieve for Dissatisfied on the direction of the country. all the rest were higher When every month of your Residency you have more than 62% of folks telling you are going the wrong way, it is a problem with leadership.
http://www.gallup.com/file/poll/181964/MIP_Satisfaction_150311%20%20.pdf
The real reason that Iran & Korea are demonised in the corporate controlled Westen Media is not their wacky or disgusting or insane leaderships, the West has those aplenty.
These two countries are outside the Western Central Bankster controlled fiat money system.
Other countries: Iceland, which escaped after the 2008 collapse, & actually jailed some of their thieving & corrupt banksters; Hungary, Victor Orban refuses to join; & also Russia, amongst others.

Tony Blair ‘visited Libya to lobby for JP Morgan’
Blair also had six private meetings with the dictator [ Gaddafi] in the three years after he left Downing Street. This would have been when Blair was the Middle East envoy for the United Nations. Blair became envoy on the day he resigned as Prime Minister in June of 2007. Tony Blair was hired in 2008 by JP Morgan.

Of course knowing the story of blame on a video the Benghazi mess was known by Sept 24, 2012, 13 days after.
Officially, the video was cited as the primary motive in the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. There are more than a few problems with this narrative. First, aside from the trailer, the video does not exist anywhere in any public forum. Not now, not ever.
How did they find it?
The individual in the video Proof Positive – In My Opinion on the YouTube channel Montagraph details some very disturbing possibilities, including the identification of a news and politics website (a series of them, interrelated) known as NewsPoliticsNow and its various name variations, might be linked to Stanley, Inc., which is now known as CGI.
According to published reports, Stanley, Inc. was awarded a $164 million contract to print new U.S. passports in 2006. Two employees of Stanley, Inc., along with a third individual employed by another defense contractor identified as The Analysis Corporation, were identified as the perpetrators who breached the records of the U.S. passport office on three occasions in 2008 and “improperly accessed” the passport records of Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain. The breaches occurred on January 9, February 21 and March 14, 2008.
It is important to note that the CEO of the Analysis Corporation at the time of the passport office break-in was John O. Brennan

Gadhafi could not get away with that plan but it looks like the BRICS countries are going to try next. Too bad Clinton gave China US technology, military secrets as well as our jobs while chasing the illusion of Interdependence.
I think China and Russia are a heck of a lot more interested in world domination than in world interdependence and the UN’s pipe dream of Global Governance. China especially.

The Congo is incredibly blessed with natural mineral wealth – coal, cobalt, copper, diamonds, gold, manganese, offshore petroleum, silver, tin, uranium and zinc. Leopold II, King of Belgian, no fool he, was the de facto owner of the Congo Free State from 1885 to 1908.
Any surprise that the elite do not want Africa developed by the Africans? Or that China and Russia via the BRICS Development Bank, a rival to the banksters World Bank are making a grab for it?
Things get interesting when you realize the BRICS countries are amassing gold. Both Russia and China have been rattling the cage for several years making it obvious they want to see the end of the US Dollar as the World Reserve Currency. The USD being a fiat currency controlled by bankers.
Congress has no idea of how much gold is in Fort Knox. The bankers won’t let them count it. Calculations show the USA has no ‘Good Deliverable Gold’ left. The Great American Disaster: How Much Gold Remains In Fort Knox?
Remember this was the gold confiscated from US citizens by FDR to back the Federal Reserve bank script that was then transferred to European banks. While US citizens could not exchange Federal Reserve bank script for gold, foreign banks could and did so with abandon until Nixon closed the gold window in 1971. That was when Nixon took the USD off the gold standard completely and the Federal Reserve started printing US dollars like there was no tomorrow.
China for several years has encouraged her citizens to BUY GOLD. China Urges Citizens to Buy Gold and Silver
I recall last year Germany wanted there gold back that was being stored for safekeeping by the US iby the FED, and the FED basically said, uh no.
https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2015/03/13/history-repeats-itself-4/?replytocom=502487#respond
The German government has been storing about half of its gold supply with the US FED, apparently in the NYC FED vaults. Germany decided to bring home all its gold, but the FED has said that isn’t possible to do, and it would need until 2020 to be able to accomplish the transfer.

Next the Chinese government has been buying up gold.

Russia is also buying gold. Putin Turns Black Gold to Bullion as Russia Outbuys World
Next is Mining Gold.
Global Gold Mining Production
For the map, click the center then hover over a country. For the actual amounts go to the bottom left of the map and click the magnifying glass.
Three of the BRICS countries have increased gold mining and they are the world’s top producers. The US has gold but the UNITED NATIONS BLOCKED the mine near Yellowstone. Both Australia and Canada have stepped up gold mining while the USA has decreased gold mining.
Interesting isn’t it? And you never here a peep about this critical situation form the MSM or the US Government.
Thanks, Gail.

This comes after all those confirmed reports that Iran already had nuclear weapons ?
The UN weapons inspectors found no nuclear weapons in Iran, and were ignored. Iran complied with all international inspection measures.
It was very funny to see how the main scare stories about Iran having nuclear weapons came within days of Iran saying it would no longer sell it’s vast oil reserves for dollars, but for euros and yen. Not good news for US debt at all.
It was all US sabre rattling. Still is.
Iran is painted as some sort of backwards dangerous rogue nation, yet it’s intentional homicide rate, like that of Iraq, India, Georgia, Ukraine, Syria, Turkey, Israel and many others, is lower than that of the USA.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate
I struggle to choose which political governance I would prefer, the USA or the Iranian version….right now Iran is going through a quiet revolution of liberalisation…
It’s even moved on since this article was written
http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2008/feb/24/iran.skiing
Why don’t you move there?
I don’t recall saying i was unhappy here…to be honest I am difficult to please where politics is involved. Not until we stop voting for representatives and start voting on policies will I feel we had made any progress.
You made Iran sound like Nirvana. It is a place where true freedom is an illusion, even sometimes for financial elite. A place where those that protest too hard are shot down in the streets. A place where nobody with a lick of sense that values freedom would describe as you did.
Based on your own personal experience of Iran, Rah ?
Well over 70% of Americans say America is the best country in the world, yet over 50% have never visited another country
Many Iranians look down on us and have never been anywhere else….because we’re all pretty similar in actual fact.
Its the way which our governments make us which divides us….once we start discussing the issue from that point of view we might be able to move on and drop the stereotypes…..just my opinion of course
http://tehrantimes.com/politics/102348-average-american-knows-very-little-about-daily-life-in-iran
Nope, never been to Iran. Have however seen the effects of their work first hand in Lebanon. Have had a splinter of concrete from a bullet fired by those that they supported give me a little cut in in forehead. Have SEEN first hand what they are and what they do.
If you hate the groups Iran supports you should take a good close look at what the US federal government’s supported groups have been doing. Oh yeah, we’re never supposed to look at that.
Unless you live in a heavily Democratic gun-free hellhole, the US is one of the safest places on Earth.
By what standard or measure is it one of the safest places ?
The US has the worst death by shooting following an argument over a parking space rate than anywhere in the world.

Chris Barron said, “I struggle to choose which political governance I would prefer, the USA or the Iranian version…”
To which USA version of governance are you referring? The one our forefathers set up in our Constitution? Or, the evolved fascist form of governance U.S. subjects live under today?
If you were referring to the latter and not the former, that would at least be understandable Although that is unacceptable to libertarians, I think I’d still prefer that over living under a Shia Islamic/Iranian governance. SMH
Absolutely right Disillusioned…we love the idea of using our vote to ‘kick someone out when we hate them’ but what do we get in it’s place ?
I would prefer to be able to vote directly on political issues themselves, like in Switzerland
