Without looking, I think we’ve had something like 22 90F days to date. Give or take. Definitely not like 2012 when we were trying to play ball on a 105F baked clay infield. Several years ago, one of the local weathermen let it slip that VA hasn’t had nearly the number of 100+ days because all those damned trees keep the heat down.

She’s out of her mind if she thinks that DC will be like south Texas ‘climate’ wise. There are about 14 degrees of latitude difference between them. At the solstice, the solar zenith angle is near 88 degrees at Brownsville. At DC, it is about 74.
