Complete Disclosure Of My Corporate Funding

———————- Begin list —————————-

———————- End list ——————————

The only compensation I receive for my climate work is  donations from generous individual readers, which work out to about $1-$2 per hour for the time I have put in over the past decade.

People who claim I am funded are lying, just like they do about climate. I am a lifelong environmentalist, and I am blowing the whistle on the criminals who have hijacked the environmental movement with this global warming scam.

I assume this was in response to my post on another thread wherein I mentioned that you may have been libeled. I recall you stating in the past that you get no corporate money, which is why I believe that you were libeled by that idiot.

    • Phil Jones says:

This is really a shame… Progressive Politics and Climate Change are well funded via our Tax Dollars in the form of Grants. EPA writes checks for Billions in Grants…

Yet if a Skeptic receives any kind of support or funding their motives are questioned… Disregarded…. Total hypocrisy and a double standard…

  2. DD More says:

I like your response much better that the UAH group.
Neither Christy nor Spencer receives any research support or funding from oil, coal or industrial companies or organizations, or from any private or special interest groups. All of their climate research funding comes from federal and state grants or contracts.

So they are trying to tell us the federal and state governments are not the biggest ‘Special Interest Groups’ there are?

  3. gator69 says:

Come on Tony, I’ve seen you car down at the Whole Foods store. Fess up!

  4. BallBounces says:

The entire list has been whited-out — a complete white-wash. Sinister forces at work.

  5. Edmonton Al says:

And you do a mighty fine job Tony.
    Thanks.

  6. AndyG55 says:

but, but… the guys at SkS et al. keep telling us that all us sceptics are funded by big oil. !!

but we know who really is getting the funding !

    • Gail Combs says:

      Andy,
The faux environmentalist had to get that lie out about skeptics and scream it from the hill tops. Think what would have happened if the truth that Shell Oil is enmeshed in the WWF and the IPCC hit the news before they started screaming “Skeptics are funded by BIG OIL!”

I sometimes think the pittance given to Heartland by Exxon was done just to leave a paper trail to provide verisimilitude.

The August 5 issue of Science, the venerable journal published by the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, contains an article by Sara Reardon that discusses the controversy over how climate change is presented in K-12 science classrooms….
how does Ms. Reardon refer to The Heartland Institute? As a 27-year-old national nonprofit research and education organization? As a widely recognized and respected source of objective analysis on a wide range of topics, backed by advisory boards of more than 300 academics and elected officials? Or perhaps as a principled advocate of free-market ideas supported by the voluntary contributions of some 1,800 donors?

No, none of this. Ms. Reardon apparently believes the only thing readers need to know about Heartland can be expressed in six words: Heartland “has received significant funding from Exxon-Mobil.” That’s it. No information about how much support we received (never more than 5 percent of our budget), or when we received it (not since 2006, three years before the mailing to school board presidents took place).

These facts are readily available on our Web site and we’ve repeated them again and again when others have tried to attack our funding sources, rather than the veracity of our research. It isn’t good journalism to conceal these facts from readers, is it? Shame on Ms. Reardon once more….

IIRC the donations from Exxon were ear marked for use in education and not for climate chage research.

  7. Scott Scarborough says:

I read Mosher and he supplied a graph that indicated that temperature adjustments really don’t make any difference. If that is so, how come the HCN raw data, as you have displayed it, dosen’t show any warming in the US?

  8. Phil Jones says:

Amen Tony… Meanwhile Progressive Groups DO get funding based on their support for Climate Change Theory…

Funding and Grants are paid out with OUR TAX DOLLARS… for university studies, climate change advocacy groups, environmental groups, legal organizations… Funded by NASA, EPA, State Department.. And of course sponsored by Big Universities…

For them.,, why stop the flow of money… A huge waterfall of money …

That’s why this whole issue of Public Policy based on data manipulation and FRAUD WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS…. is potentially a huge Case… It would embarrass all these lying Jerk-off’s and cut off the money… Thus cut off more Climate Change nonsense,,,

  9. gator69 says:

Once again, skeptics found to be more knowledgeable on climate science, even when test is skewed.

…says a forthcoming paper in the journal Advances in Political Psychology by Yale Professor Dan Kahan. He finds that skeptics score about the same (in fact slightly better) on climate science questions…

Liberals were more likely to correctly answer questions like: “What gas do most scientists believe causes temperatures to rise?” The correct answer is carbon dioxide.

    http://www.foxnews.com/science/2015/02/12/study-global-warming-skeptics-know-more-about-climate-science/

Low information testers lowering skeptic scores with FUBAR questions.

    • emsnews says:

What the hell? Their ‘answer’ is dead wrong!!!

The sun and H2O causes the most global warming.

      • There is no substitute for total victory. says:

What about Hydrogen? Without Hydrogen gas powering the Sun not only will the Earth become an ice cube, but it would be impossible for any life to exist, which means that the whole fossil fuel conundrum is solved. No life, no fossil fuels. Send my Nobel prize to Tony. You can find me on the first inter-galactic Grey Hound bus to an alternative home planet, see you.

    • Dr. AndyG55 says:

And where did they get that “most scientists” nonsense from !!!

Really… what stupid, leading, question !

Really… what stupid, leading, question !

  10. I used to work in the wind sector around 2003 and I can tell you that all the big companies were either oil companies or related to oil and these were the massive funders of the wind lobby.

So, the oil companies have always been promoting wind energy and I’ve no doubt they gave massive amounts of money to green NGOs and academics to push climate non-science in order to promote their wind development.

What’s more … what daft person would think that oil companies don’t benefit from governments pushing up the price of fossil fuels?

So the people pushing this “fossil fuel sceptics” are the worst kind of evil scum.

    • NielsZoo says:

Of course the oil companies are big supporters of wind. Building, installing and running them is a net user of energy so every tower that goes up increases the sales of oil, gas and coal. They not only get to sell the energy to build them they get to sell the extra dispatchable energy that has to be online when they don’t produce. They also get to sell the energy it takes to tear them down and melt them back into objects that are useful for society… like oil burning cars, pipes for clean water and copper for electrical equipment. If we’re really lucky the eco loons will get out of the way and the 3rd World can use the remains of those avian annihilators to get out of the Stone Age by building coal and gas fired power plants that produce inexpensive, RELIABLE electricity.

      I can dream, can’t I?

  11. Groty says:

Re: climate scam. My sense is that at this point everybody who has bothered to put the work in to inform themselves know it is a scam. Most Democrats and a few RINO Republicans know it is a scam but don’t care. They are either closely tied to the alternative energy rent seeking business and they have a financial interest in the central planners rigging the system to benefit them financially, or they are hardened environmental zealots and want to see less fossil fuel used for ideological reasons. They don’t care that it will retard economic growth and make it hard for the poor to lift themselves out of poverty. And then there are the Neo-Malthusians who know this is a scam but they can use it to fear monger to make government more involved in rationing resources. The conservative Republicans know it is a scam. They don’t want major political and policy decisions made based on a scam. They care about preserving economic liberty which is the only economic system devised by man that consistently leads to greater prosperity, lifts people out of poverty, and preserves individual liberty.

It is not unlike Obamacare. Everybody knew, just as Gruber said, that Democrats were lying. With Obamacare, Democrat voters didn’t care about the lying either because they are greedy and want someone else to pay for their healthcare or they have a perverted morality system and think using government force to steal money from people who have it and give it to Democrat cronies in Big Insurance to subsidize someone else’s insurance is somehow moral. I can forgive a hungry man for stealing a loaf of bread but the act of stealing the bread was still unethical and morally wrong. Just because you have voted for a government to do the stealing it does not make it any less immoral. So just like everybody knew Democrats were lying with Obamacare, almost everybody knows they are lying about the global warming scam. Democrats entire governing philosophy depends on them being lying thieves. It’s the source of their power.

  12. Dave1billion says:

BUT … what he failed to mention is that his fiancé is paid large grants through fellowships with several Big Fossil front groups. I read it on the Interwebs.

“Wait. What? What??? A Democratic Governor? Grants from Green organizations who were in turn receiving grants from the State?”

There’s no story here. Move along.

  13. Jimmy Haigh says:

Glad to be able to help.

Look for a big decrease in funding for the global warmongers this year thanks to the oil price drop. Oil companies feel duty bound to finance the global warmongering scammers because of political correctness – but money is tight.
