She accomplished this trick by starting at the coldest decade of the century, ending in one of the warmest years, and using tampered USHCN data. The actual data shows that US winter temperatures are plummeting, as everyone who lives here knows.
North American winter snow cover is increasing, because the snow line is pushing further south – due to cold air.
Four of the last seven years have had above normal ice on the Great Lakes. Obviously the upper Midwest is not having warmer winters.
Snow and ice don’t lie. The freezing point of water hasn’t changed.
Heidi says anyone who disagrees with her fraud should be de-certified.

The sad thing about Dr. Cullen is that, unlike the Science Guy, she actually has a solid academic background in climatology. She realy is “qualified” to expound about all things climatic.
But she officially cashed in her credibility with her “decertification” rhetoric a few years back. Perhaps the offending meteorologists should subject themselves to “self criticism” after their public denunciation.
Science and politics are a bad mix. We now have an entire cadre of Lysenkos working hard to do for the world economy what Lysenko did for Soviet agriculture.

I was a geology student for years before I took my first climatology class. I was shocked to hear my professors speak of the Earth as if it were a static system that does not change. We did not study any cold or warm periods, and this was before global warming and after the cooling scare, so desertification was the boogeyman of the day.

In real science you must first convince yourself that what you’re seeing is correct, which usually involves looking at the most contrary situation and seeing if it can withstand such scrutiny. First year graduate students learn this right out of the gate. If you can’t convince yourself that it’s real, you won’t convince a skeptical reviewer.
In climate “science” they cherry pick the data to present it in the most favorable light and sweep anything contradictory under the rug.
I real science they look for cutting edge work that will rewrite the textbook by introducing new information. In climate “science” they rewrite the old information to make it fit the latest fad in the herd mentality.
this is hogwash; have they ever visited Wisconsin? in the Winter? for some silly reason, i decided to start tracking daily temps for my home town of Kendall, WI; last year was an exceptionally cold year; for JAN 2014 the avg low was -11.1F colder than average; avg high -8.1F colder; for FEB 2014 avg low was -17.2F colder + avg high was -12.4F colder; for MAR 2014 the avg low was -7.9F colder + avg high was -6.9F colder; during those months we set 7 record lows; wish they would just quit lying — BTW we are expecting -20F for Sunday morning 🙂 thx for what you do

Go by way of Indiana. Here about 30 mi NE of Indianapolis it’s NW Wind 33 mph gusting to near 50. Right now it looks like a snownado outside my windows. Can’t see my neighbors house across the street.
Currently in southern Wisconsin we are having 30-35 mph winds straight out of the north. The predictions are for -25 -30 wind chills tonight. The only warming I am experiencing is the boiling of my blood when I see all of these morons pushing this global warming crap.
