The announced data no longer matches reality. They are indeed desperate.

  2. Jason Calley says:

It would even be plausible if they said, “About half the country is colder than usual, about half the country is warmer. All in all, it is close to average.” But “hottest winter ever”?! Really? With sea ice on the coast of Connecticut and the Great Lakes frozen over? Crazy!

In the future, i expect to see reports like “The entire US shivered in subfreezing temperatures today with the exception of the little town of Dogpatch, Arkansas. Scientists see no relief in this hottest ever winter!”

Seriously its like a comedy. How can they get away with so much BS.

Indeed, with an equal amount of tragedy.
How? A compliant, lap-dog media, a spineless Congress and a corrupt AG/Justice. Never thought I would think this way but I’m glad I’m rapidly approaching old fart status. We’re going the way of Rome and I’d rather not be around to witness the end result. Sorry for the kids, but they seem to be blissfully unaware of their demise as they display their critical thinking abilities on Watter’s World.

I am very glad I am retired and have no children. At this point I think it might be quite interesting to see glacial inception. Humanity is desperately in need of smartening up and Mother Nature can be quite brutal when she cleans out the gene pool and gives it a boost.

…Zooming back to 2 million years ago, we see with the clarity of archaeological conviction that climate change has been very good to us. Spend some time reading tons of information on hominid evolution, and you will soon come to know that scientists in that field have long speculated that climate change over the past few millions of years, yes, those same two million or so years has been a very effective agent provocateur in our evolution. Our brain case size has experienced dramatic increases, in fits and starts, of course, to go from about 500 cubic centimeters (cc) to about 2,500cc in the last 2-3 million years….

Because people let them define reality for them. It doesn’t matter how cold it gets they will believe its hot because that is what authority told them and they were conditioned to believe authority. They won’t use their own judgment. They’ll make fun of people who do and most of them will stay quiet because of social pressure. That’s how they get away with it.

6th hottest is what I think they were saying earlier this month. What a crock.

If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the snow!

  8. Jocko says:

Sheer insanity, here in N/ W Ct. Temps. Have been running well below average since the beginning of January, everything is frozen and they tell me this is the hottest winter ever.

    Was checking out http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/
and could not help but notice the amount of snow coverage in the Northern Hemisphere shown on their normal sea ice image http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/NEWIMAGES/arctic.seaice.color.000.png
