Buy Naomi A Prius!

Naomi Oreskes’ fascist propaganda flick has earned enough money to buy her a new Prius, assuming the movie didn’t cost anything to make, market or distribute. It is already the 10,313th most popular movie of all-time

Why did Sony consent to this sick fantasy of a documentary?

    • Mike D says:

Seems to be an “autonomous division” within Sony Pictures.

“Michael Barker and Tom Bernard are co-presidents of Sony Pictures Classics—an autonomous division of Sony Pictures Entertainment founded in January 1992 (with Marcie Bloom) that distributes, produces and acquires independent films from the United States and around the world.”

    ROTFLMAO!

I hope the backers lose their shirts on this propaganda piece.

  3. EternalOptimist says:

Looking forward to the sequel ‘Merchants of Doubtfire’ where a female historian, Oreskes, fools the world by impersonating a male megalomaniac. (Without any help from the makeup department)

This is the funniest thing I have heard in a very long time.
Even the libtard warmista fascists know enough to not waste money on this steaming load of crap.

    Why didn’t they get subsidies?

Naomi (and people like her) don’t believe in science, only propaganda.
More and more people are coming to the realization the modern science is junk science. When 80% of science experiments are not reproducible, something is wrong with science. (Would you buy a new car that only started 20% of the time.)

Even a liberal magazine like the New Yorker has come to that conclusion.

Half of everything in print is false. Always has been, always will be. Net “knowledge” is always zero.

Hope she can get the Prius on sale after the theaters take their cut.

The distributor will get the vast majority of the money made by the movie. The agreement gives the distributor the agreed-upon percentage of the net box office or gross box office, whichever is greater. The way this works is amazing!
Consider this example. Theater A is negotiating with Distributor B over a new movie. The theater has figured that expenses, the nut, are about $4,500 per week. The net percentage to go to the distributor is set at 95 percent for the first two weeks, 90 percent for week three and 85 percent for the final week. The gross percentage to go to the distributor is set at 70 percent for the first two weeks, 60 percent for week three and 50 percent for the final week.

I’d like to have schadenfreude, but I bet none of the funding for the movie came from anyone who actually cares if the movie makes money or not. It’s probably funded by David Suzuki Foundation, Energy Foundation or Soros, who really just want to get the propaganda out.

Well I guess it’s not getting out. That’s something at least. 🙂

Look at it this way. That is at least a few million $$ down the tubes that can not be used to do damage elsewhere.

On a brighter note it sends the message that the masses are NOT INTERESTED.

Someone earlier to day had a UN poll with ~7 million people. Out of 14 ‘concerns’ CAGW came in dead last with very few voting for it. (Choose 12 out of 14 and rank them IIRC.)
