Let me be clear. My own reading of the literature and study of paleoclimate suggests strongly that carbon dioxide from burning of fossil fuels will prove to be the greatest pollutant of human history. It is likely to have severe and detrimental effects on global climate. I would love to believe that the results of Mann et al. are correct, and that the last few years have been the warmest in a millennium.

It is hilarious seeing Naomi Oreskes lie about big skeptic money. It doesn’t exist. Essentially all of the money is on the alarmist side.
Wish they would fund all of us.
The major energy companies all moved into the CO2 cap/trade business and this requires us all believing we will roast to death unless we heavily tax energy use. Energy corporations love this! They were early on, gleefully rushing into this ‘new market’ about taxing air.
They could fund us all. The US alone spends $24 billion per year, or about $80 for every man, woman, and child in the US.
EPA.. State Department… NASA… NOAA… Big U…

How is it that Progressives always seek and receive Public Funding to further their Agenda???
Because they are thieving conniving OP’s who attack anyone standing in their way. They do so with charges of racism, sexism, homophobia, being a planet or children hater, being anti-science or anti-Muslim, etc…
The reason we don’t get public funding, is because we don’t want any more stupid spending or increased taxes. We can take care of ourselves with our own resources. And our ideas don’t cost money, they make money.
Money always goes to the side that will increase government and regulation. There two reasons for this.
The first is that economic regulations benefit the big corporations. It doesn’t matter how onerous they seem, the big corporations can handle it, but the little outsiders and potential upstarts cannot. Long ago large corporations found that regulation really is their friend in protecting and expanding their market share.
The second is that it seems when a person gets to a certain amount of wealth he gets bored with the idea of shaping society to the way he thinks is best. This has been an american tradition for over a century. Get incredibly wealthy and then start meddling with society through government to shape it.
This is why we will never ever find big money on the side against CO2 driven climate change. By the way the scam is set up it allows manipulation of every economic and social activity. It’s everything big money wants to fund. Government, corporations, and wealthy individuals all benefit from it being our new ‘religion’.

I think Mosher realised a few years ago that teaching english did not provide the same funding levels as distorting real science. He was a sceptic way back, disappeared for a while and then returned as an alarmist.
Wait, the rambling, incoherent Mosher is an English teacher? Somehow that fits.

Proves that money doesn’t change truth, and it’s easier for others to see the truth with a better argument; not more money.
