Not only unelected, but an uneducated appointment. She must be good friends with the boss Valerie.

  2. gator69 says:

Any skeptic on this blog could argue circles around 97% of ‘climate experts’.

  3. KTM says:

They should hold her in contempt of Congress for wasting everyone’s time by playing dumb.

  4. Pathway says:

Full of shit as a flying asian carp.

  5. gofer says:

Is she the one who did not know the CO2 level?

  6. DHF says:

Unbelievable – so incompetent. How can she possibly not understand that simple question! How can you be head of the Environmental Protection Agency and not being prepared and able to answer that question with facts. It was even repeated several times. She was given so many chances. She must have been prepared to avoid trying to answer such question in a factual way.

  7. Ken says:

Hopefully they will subpoena her emails/text messages and prove that she lied to them. Because, she lied through her teeth, you can be 100% sure of that.

By the way, she did not have to be prepared or rehearsed by anyone to tell those lies. She has years of practice.

  8. bleakhouses says:

Paraphrasing, she said “it doesn’t matter if we are right or wrong because we’ve already decided that we’re right.”

    • DavidS says:

That is more or less it. She was very articulate with the rhetoric but out-to-lunch on the data and in fact dismissive of it. That is indeed the general pattern.

  9. DakotaKid says:

As I recall “NAME YOUR PREFERRED GROUP” is the the master race is also settled science.

  10. AndyG55 says:

    I have to admit..

I am totally stunned at the utter and complete ignorance of someone who apparently weilds so much power !!

BUT IT DOES MAKE YOU REALISE JUST WHAT WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST

  11. tabnumlock says:

The important thing seems to be that you be a mulatto or a bull-dyke.

  12. Tom says:

Her feigned ignorance that segues into talking points says it all.

  13. Anto says:

She knows it’s a grave threat, because it’s her religion and her dharma.

  14. iurockhead says:

She knew the answer. She knew the truth. The problem was that the answer was an “inconvenient” truth. Fun watching her squirm, though.

  15. rah says:

I have never understood why Congress cannot demand that an administration official scheduled to testify bring specific documentation/information to a hearing and be prepared to answer questions/inquiries about it. This video is just one more example of how they dodge, weave, and out right lie to weasel out of difficult questions by pleading ignorance.

    • Edmonton Al says:

And…………. They go back to the office and carry on as if nothing ever happened. Why are they, like her, not charged?

    • Jason Calley says:

Why doesn’t Congress hold Executive Branch officials’ feet to the fire?

Because most people in Congress have much more in common with people like the head of the EPA, than have in common with the people who elected them.

  16. Disillusioned says:

    That was disgusting to watch

  17. She understood the question exactly. She knew exactly what he was getting at. She gave the Bill Clinton answer “It depends on what the definition of “is” is”

  18. NancyG says:

I thought I was watching a SNL skit.

    • Edmonton Al says:

At least SNL is humorous. This is a complete disgrace. Utter incompetence, such as she displayed, should lead to dismissal from office.

  19. ren says:

In addition to travel problems directly associated with precipitation, a brief but significant push of arctic air near the tail end of the storm will cause areas of standing water and slush to freeze.

This should be totally unbelievable but it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect. It’s like she’s never heard of the models.

    Meanwhile…

…The regional head of the Environmental Protection Agency will speak at the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site for a Women’s History Month event.

The EPA and the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Partnership are hosting a Summit on Women and Climate Change on Friday at the Hudson Valley historic site. EPA Regional Administrator Judith Enck will discuss the agency’s work on climate change.

Organizers say they want to inform people about climate change policies and make sure women’s voices are heard on the issue.

Four exhausted men from Minnesota squeeze into one motel room in Framingham.

Nearly every inch of space sits under layers of wet clothes. Ten pairs of gloves lie on the heater. The smell isn’t pleasant, and their work clothes rarely dry. But such is the life of an ice dam removal crew, one of several who have sped more than 1,100 miles from Minnesota to Massachusetts to free New England homes from their dam prisons.
At first, the calls for help trickled in to Minnesota’s ice dam companies. Water was seeping into Boston homes, down walls and under eves. Local roofers were already inundated. But the snow kept coming and so did the ice, and the slow drip of pleas became a deluge. There was work to be done and money in those gutters.
“I went home and told my wife, ‘We’re going to Boston,’?” said Dmitry Lipinskiy, 31, the owner of Ice Dam Liquidators, based in Brooklyn Park, Minn. “She asked, ‘How come?’ And I said, ‘Because they need us.’?”
Soon, Lipinskiy would be making around $20,000 in little over a week.

  27. Edmonton Al says:

So many pictures of the cold weather show how poorly insulated many homes are.
A properly insulated home, such as we have around here, do not get ice dams.
But we do get too much damn ice.

    • Gail Combs says:

Boston is an OLD city. Many of the houses I rented in New England were built in the late 1700’s early 1800s.

Insulation? Heck one house did not have heat in the upstairs bedrooms and the closet was 9 inches deep with 6 pegs for hanging clothes! On top of that the stair treads were 6 inches deep and a foot high…..Building code what building code… The house was built in 1898 in East Rochester according to the number chiseled into one of the foundation stones.

      • rah says:

It’s not just old houses. Some of the more cheaply fabricated modular homes put up these days lack adequate insulation. You can see it during the winter. The roofs of well insulated homes hold snow. Those without don’t. And on the really bad ones with standard asphalt based three tab shingles you can see where the rafters are located after a frost.

    • rah says:

Yes we have already seen the rations we’re expected to eat and some kids are all experiencing in Michelle Obama’s school lunch program. And it sure as hell doesn’t include Kobe steaks like the Obama’s LOVE so much.

In similar dictatorial overreach, US Senators Boxer and Feinstein (both from California) have called for a federal mandate to require vaccines for all Americans, including adults. In addition, the US Department of Health and Human Services has introduced the National Adult Immunization Plan, a strategic plan with the goal of improving adult immunization.

The US Supreme Court has ruled that vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe.”

Silly y’all, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy stated that it “really is an investment opportunity and not about Pollution”
—The thing is, she may be correct in this one statement (here) It really is an investment opportunity for the green’s and their carbon credits, because we know it is not about pollution and we know its not about warming.

Shocker: EPA air chief ignorant of atmospheric CO2 level

    Posted on March 1, 2011 by JunkScience.com | 55 Comments

At today’s House Energy and Power Subcommittee hearing on EPA’s job killing greenhouse gas regulations, Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) asked panel witness Gina McCarthy — chief of EPA’s air programs, including the agency’s greenhouse gas regulations — whether she had any idea of what the atmospheric level of carbon dioxide is, SHE ADMITTED THAT SHE DID NOT!
