The Danish Meteorological Institute would be surprised to hear this, as they show ice extent increasing and higher than 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2011

Environmental reporters never do any investigate journalism. They simply parrot the lies of government climate scientists, and move on.

This particular BS began with Mark Serreze, whom Politifact (aka Google Ministry of Truth) uses as their standard expert for all topics he has no expertise in.

A few months ago it was clear that the decision had already been made to declare a record low in 2015. There was a lot of propaganda circulating about it at that time, and the actual data never made any difference.

Implications for a Global Ministry of Truth would be horrific for mankind.

Evidence for a Global Ministry of Truth are overwhelming in these false but world-wide Standard Models of:

    1. Earth’s Climate
    2. Atomic Nuclei
    3. Ordinary Stars
    4. Big Bang Cosmology

  2. Ben Vorlich says:

That is a typical BBC Headline. instead of including “Say reasearchers at University of Colorado” in the Headline; and there is room for it. They don’t include it in the sub-headings either. it only appears in the second paragraph. For most people headline skimming the message has been received and understood.
    WE’RE ALL DOOMED

    Then there is this…

    Helen Briggs retweeted
    NOAA @NOAA · Feb 19
January 2015 #Antarctic sea ice extent largest on record per @NOAANCDC #StateOfClimate rpt t http://1.usa.gov/1CIGVm9

I wonder if she realizes what season it is down under?

    • rah says:

And that because of the growth of Antarctic sea ice the world has more ice now than at any time since 1979 when the accepted satellite record begins.

  4. Gail Combs says:

RACookPE1978 on December 31, 2013 at 7:21 am @ WUWT explained way the earth has MAXIMUM HEAT LOSS when the Arctic has below average minimum sea ice in the fall but Antarctic has above average maximum sea ice.

Open water in the Arctic in the autumn when the sun is low in the sky means the ocean loses heat directly to space. On the other hand because Antarctic sea ice is much closer to the equator compared to Arctic sea ice, The sea ice reflects ~ 5 times as much energy as arctic sea ice.
