Here in Maryland, we are having the coldest year on record – by a wide margin. President Obama says we are burning up in the DC area.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

He has a pen. What are the laws of physics against that?
No, he has a teleprompter … much more powerful …
Please tell me that the THC-addled Holdren won’t explain this using the Polar Vortex again
Yeah but Andrew Cuomo says New York never used to have tornadoes.

He’s an honest politician, see, history is on his side….oh wait!

I remember coming home with my father to a tornado in Schenectady NY in 1959 I think it was – the shy was orange
Anyway, Andrew Cuomo never exactly fit in his father Mario’s shoes, show he has worn Hillary high heels and pant suits. His contribution to Leadership has been to make New York an Uzbekistan-style experiment, I would never go back there
There will never be a natural gas industry here until Andrew Cuomo gets the frack out of New York
There won’t be a Brian G Valentine in New York with Andrew Cuomo in Gracie Mansion or any other Teddy Kennedy style leftovers sitting there either. Electricity costs there are higher than any other state, and where they are getting the money to put everybody on welfare remains a mystery to me.
The Communist flag is no longer scarlet with a gold hammer and sickle. It is the New York State Flag
Gracie Mansion is where the NY City Mayor lives. It’s in Manhattan, in NYC.
Cuomo is the governor of NY STATE not the city, he lives in Albany. The governor is supposed to live in the Schuyler Mansion in Albany, but most governors don’t live there because that old house is like 300 years old or something and kind of in a bad neighborhood.
So many people get NY city and NY state mixed up. I wonder if they think Oklahoma City is the same as Oklahoma. What about Iowa City or Nevada City.
I should have known that, I lived in Albany for about 13 years about four blocks from the Governor’s mansion, that was almost 30 years ago, convenient forgetting I guess.
New York wasn’t so bad, but it became very leftist, industry all but left the state. I hated to see so many people put out of work because industries left, then all those towns became so poor, and it was disheartening.
By Sunday evening, many will wish for summer in the upper Midwest 😉

Yeah but since all that cold air has been coming here all year that means the Arctic must be completely melted by now. Oh, wait.
From the link in Chewer’s comment: I live in Washington State – not D.C. – and we did not have the cold winter of the mid-west and we are now experiencing the heat that is lacking in the eastern states. On average, though, the Nation’s weather is fine.
0blamea is trying to get an early lock on the “Liar of the Year” for the second year running
Colorado Wellington: “He has a pen. What are the laws of physics against that?”
Truthseeker: “No, he has a teleprompter … much more powerful …”
Me: “He has an election”.
I realised yesterday, that with the demise of the printed press, there is far less critical review of what politicians say and their press releases are more or less copy and pasted into newspapers.
As the print press lost their critical faculty, they because like a mirror:
“Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the most electable politician of all”.
“Oh you are …”
I think they are now in for one hell of a shock, because if they want to know what they look like to joe public they should come and read blogs like this and stop reading their own press releases in the papers.
Al Gore was a journalism major in College. I wonder how his reports of people luring women into motel rooms and groping them behind closed doors would read
Could this possibly be an artifact because not all stations in the region have reported their numbers yet?
Meanwhile, Washington National Airport has been averaging well above normal since April. They need to maintain their status as a poster child for the Washington Post and the Capital Weather Gang, who are totally on board with global warming. Something is obviously very rotton in the Nation’s Capital, especially when I have noticed my car thermometer up to 8 degrees colder on sunny days with no fronts in the area.
But if the evil climate change boogeyman doesn’t exist, how will politicos in MD justify your rising energy costs?
Let me explain it simply for you. In the arctic (that’s way in the north, on the other side of The Wall) sea ice is melting faster than usual, so the sea absorbs heat differently than usual. This is causing the jet stream (high altitude winds that strongly influence weather down here) to weaken significantly. That means colder weather can penetrate further south than usual. So what we have is colder weather in the East coast this year, and warmer weather in northern Canada and Alaska. So our cold winter and summer are almost certainly caused by climate change.
What you’re ignoring by focusing on “global warming” is that some places will get significantly colder (but the global average will be warmer). Basically, climate change means almost every weather pattern will be disrupted and we won’t be able to predict how when we look at one specific area.
Complete bullshit
Haha, who was your 7th-grade science teacher? I would like to contact them & tell them that they are an utter failure.
Let me explain it simply for you. In the arctic it’s cold. so f$%^ing cold the ice is not melting very fast, if at all. Get it.
And global warming and man-made climate change ain’t happening. It’s alarmist non-sense, to help propagate a statistical scam. All just to remove peoples’ wealth and their freedom. But I suppose for you it ain’t all that important. It is after all so much better to “save the planet!”, or something, but niether you nor anyone, (individually or collectively) can do because humans are not in control of the planet or it’s climate.
So get over it and grow up.
sayitsultry says: “Basically, climate change means almost every weather pattern will be disrupted and we won’t be able to predict how when we look at one specific area.”
>>>>>>
So, back before “climate change”, every weather pattern could be exactly predicted, right?
(Where do they get these “climate clowns”?)
On-line rentals available:
“Get hilarious Climate Clowns for birthdays, retirement parties, graduation parties, etc.
Millions of laughs. People love the stupid humor. Never ending jokes.”
For slightly higher rates, performers will dress as M. Mann, Al Gore, or the phony climate scientist of your choice.
(I answered by own question.)
Except the ice is not melting faster than ever. it is not even melting faster than it did 5-10 years ago! yet no vortexs then.

Maryland is not the whole world.
neither is america
Yeppers….not since the one discovered his pen and phone.
Like the little kid, I raise my hand and yell – Do me next!
So how’s the neighbor to the south doing? I am not complaining. I love this year. just a few sprinkled days of HHH (for those not on the least coast, that is Hazy, Hot and Humid). But when we get 3 days of mid 80s, low humidities and a breeze in July? I am loving it!
Tuesday, my car thermometer hit 100 for the first time this year; today at midday it’s 81. Next week it is expected to hit the 40s at night. We are doomed; there is no way to cope.
Oh we will cope! My wife will love it and we will get to test the new Polytec screens I installed.
It will be a nice respite – kind of like the July 4 weekend. An oasis in the middle of a HHH Mid Atlantic summer.
Here in the Sunny South, where it should be HHH every day with a 20% chance of showers, we’re still getting mid-latitude storms. Unprecedented I say, unprecedented. 😛 /sarc By our definition of summer, we’re not having a summer. To get that, I have to go to the coast or Florida. I’m not complaining, though. HHH is how I like it (hate cold with a passion) but it takes acclimation to deal with it.
CD – You are right! It is more like late spring than summer. Normal years, we get some HHH in May. But as I have told my in-laws (who live in a the very hot, but very dry desert SW), the difference between a May 100 and a July 100 is the breeze.
Except this year – we get the breeze in July!

Why not put a copyright on your charts… ?
either Steven Goddard or Tony Heller… ?
You or your AKA deserve the credit and the publicity when they get referenced in the mainstream.
Using the pen name is fine.
It’s been cool on the other side of the ocean, too. Apparently this is true all along the coast. I recently visited the Iberian peninsula and was surprised to find temperatures as cool as they were several hundred miles to the north.
