In 1975, experts blamed cold winters and freak weather on excess ice, caused by a change in solar radiation.
Now experts say the exact opposite. They blame cold winters on a decline in ice which is not caused by solar radiation.
John Kerry likely didn’t hear science speaking in 1975, because he was busy cavorting with communist dictators around that time.
They could have easily said “in the past 100 years the climate has varied for unknown reasons and just in the last 40 we have gone from indications of an impending ice age to a period of warming and we don’t know why. This fact alone suggest that our funding is vital so that we can come to a firm understanding of the extremely complex and chaotic cycles of Earth’s climate; doing so is simply a prudent investment.”
If this was truly about science I think they would have; a lack of complete understanding is what science is about.
Once they abandoned doubt and claimed to be true believers in a consensus the farce was obvious.

The general public still sees scientists as politically-neutral in white lab coats with zero incentive to steer science from top-down funding pressures.
We’re living in the real-world Twilight Zone.
And it is the general public’s perception which is being used by the political predators.
The public is unaware that the IPCC was set up as a prosecutor, and not an investigator.

I wrote this a couple of years ago.
Once the UNFCCC treaty was a done deal, the IPCC and its scientific conclusions were set on a track to become a self fulfilling prophecy. The entire framing of the IPCC was designed around identifying sufficient evidence so that the human-induced greenhouse warming could be declared unequivocal, and so providing the rationale for developing the political will to implement and enforce carbon stabilization targets. National and international science programs were funded to support the IPCC objectives.
Were these just hardworking scientists doing their best to address the impossible expectations of the policy makers? Well, many of them were. However, at the heart of the IPCC is a cadre of scientists whose careers have been made by the IPCC. They will protect those careers at all cost.
Two statements put this in a very clear light.

This is a fraud that produces nothing but poverty. It does not produce a single penny of wealth and instead acts as a short circuit across the advancement and wealth of an entire civilization.
The IPCC mandate states:
Humans were tried and found guilty BEFORE the IPCC ever looked at even one scientific fact. The IPCC mandate is not to figure out what factors effect the climate but to dig up the facts needed to hang the human race. The IPCC assumes the role of prosecution and and the skeptics that of the defense but the judge (aka the media) refuses to allow the defense council into the court room.
Academia is providing the manufactured evidence to ‘frame’ the human race and they are KNOWINGLY doing so. In other words Academics who prides themselves as being ‘lofty socialists’ untainted by plebeian capitalism are KNOWINGLY selling the rest of the human race into the slavery designed by the bankers and corporate elite. If the Republicans lose out in 2016, it will be close to “curtains” for the USA. IMO

Don’t forget Al Gore. He and Kerry were probably the two biggest creeps to almost become President. They make Bush look like a titan by comparison.
• As noted, an ideology is a set of political beliefs about the nature of people and society. People who are committed to an ideology seek not only to persuade but to recruit others to their belief. In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The environmentalists who sought to free the world from fossil fuels….
The United Nations who sought to free the world of independent governments and liberty….
Every time I think of Kerry and his history of lies starting with his Winter Warrior testimony before congress I see an image of him with his hands tied behind his back and a rod passed under his arms and being lifted until his feet are off the ground. That particular torture was a common one that NVA used.
