Ninety degree days used to be fairly common in Minnesota, but over they almost never happen any more. The last really hot summer was 1988 – apparently Hansen’s 1988 Congressional testimony ended global warming in Minnesota
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

One of these days your sense of humor will get you in trouble.
Hansen might have won a hero medal in the old USSR!
Au contraire. Heat waves are adjustable.
I had a leftover heat wave index in the recycle bin, which I blinked with the current version. The scales have increased, so I aligned the 1930’s peaks. Turns out 1998 wasn’t as hot as we all thought.

If you don’t laugh; you cry. I prefer to laugh, if only at myself!
I’ve been wanting to share the Serenity Prayer: serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference. My mental health is important to me.
Cheers everyone. I much enjoy the intelligent posts here.
That chart does not exactly show catastrophic warming. But on the other hand, you have not allowed climate scientists to perform their highly scientific adjustments. (sarc)
Thanks for this thread.
I am writing a response to a week long diatribe by Minnesota public radio.
Except for the few who are regular attendees at the church of environmentalism, a distinct minority, very few people here concern themselves at all with any aspect of climate change
EXCEPT
When stringent laws/rules are made which directly effect them.
Here, like everywhere people have become desensitized to ongoing governmental control.
….And, there are many who do not want to be confused with the facts.
