NOAA Announces The El Nino, Just As It Collapses

NOAA finally announced the official El Nino this week. It disappeared within hours.

What they aren’t saying is that this was the sorriest little El Nino spike on record.

    More Nada than Nino but it did make the grade on certain criteria …. good discussion in the comments at WUWT about whether or not the el Nino should have been called.

      . Joseph Bastardi was calling it a El Niño Modoki. Note the cold tongue of the Humboldt current running up the west coast of South America

    Actually Joe Bastardi says the warm along the east coast is the last gasp of a positive AMO before it turns negative.
