July 14, 1936 – One Of The Hottest Days On Record

On July 14, 1936 afternoon temperatures in the Midwest averaged 106 degrees.  Much of the Midwest was well over 110 degrees.

This year (the official hottest year ever) the average Midwest temperature was 25 degrees cooler, at 81 degrees.

July afternoon temperatures have plummeted in the Midwest since the 19th century. with the four hottest July’s being 1936, 1901, 1916 and 1934.

The shameless liars at the Union of Concerned Scientists of course claim the exact opposite.
