One of the English announcers for the Fox Soccer semi-final match today, said that Gareth Bale “guaranteed an English presence at the final in Lisbon“
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

If you go far enough west of England, you end up in Dover. Nobody needs that fate.
It could be worse, you could end up in Boston MA, “home of the foremost Marxist Scholars in the world!”: (Quote from a communist friend in Cambridge MA)
Yes, but Boston has Kitfo, which I can’t get up here in NH.
and in Rugby, the All Blacks are from Far Eastern Australia …
That’s funny! Kiwis would die rather than take out Aussie citizenship, and Australia’s only goal in rugby is to beat the All Blacks. NZ are the best, no doubt about it, but I love it when the Wallabies beat them ( all to rare).
Australia and NZ are mates but the chance of us ever becoming a single country is about the same as England and Ireland joining up, and we all know what happened there. Go Wallabies!!!
After 1707 Scotland became North Britain hence the North British Hotel in Edinburgh.
When Andy Murray loses a Grand Slam final he is Scottish, when he wins he’s British/English, same applies to Gareth Bale and Wales.
It is technically more accurate to call Gareth Bale English than it is to call Andy Murray English, though I probably wouldn’t say it to his face.
‘Since the Laws in Wales Acts 1535–1542, (…) formally incorporated all of Wales within the Kingdom of England’

I don’t think Wales ever agreed to being part of England, just as they weren’t that chuffed with the banning of the Welsh language.
As recent events show, the losing side often don’t have a lot of say in the matter.
All the road signs are bilingual, even in Bristol.
I worked in Bristol, and never saw any Welsh road signs until you got to the bridge.
That’s what I meant 🙂
